Publish shared services to locations

Publish a shared service to current and future locations without replacing local service rows.

Use Adopt an existing service when you want to create a shared service from a local service and publish it across the organization without replacing local rows. This verified procedure covers an Owner.

#Publish an existing service to locations

  1. From the dashboard workspace navigation, select Catalog.
  2. Select Services & Add-ons.
  3. Expand Adopt an existing service.
  4. Under Source service, select the service you want to publish.
  5. Review the location mapping fields. Locations where a local row already exists can be mapped to that service, while other locations display Create from the shared default.
  6. Leave Publish to every current and future location selected when the service should be available across the organization.
  7. Select Adopt without replacing local rows.

#What happens next

EasySched displays Existing services adopted without replacing local rows. The shared service appears under Shared service defaults with its locations, and the published service appears in the target location’s local catalog after switching locations.
